Journalism and Media Studies (Microcredential)

The nine-credit Journalism and Media Studies microcredential is for students who want to explore a career as a communications professional and the basic techniques for communicating in a variety of media.

Students who complete the microcredential will gain an understanding of the role of media in our culture as well as writing styles and techniques for the news media and a variety of other communications-related careers.

All courses in the microcredential can be applied to the Liberal Arts and Sciences - Humanities and Social Science Communications (Media) Track A.A. or Liberal Arts and Sciences - Humanities and Social Science Communication (Non-Media) Track A.A. degree programs.
