Advanced Studio in Acrylics
Are you ready to take your painting journey to the next level? If so, this one-day intensive workshop will expand your painting practice in novel ways! We will tackle three entirely different paintings using distinctive methods and do a deep dive into complimentary colors, glazing, and tried-and-true brushwork techniques. All Occasion Cards
There is no better way to show someone you care than to send them a card handmade by you. In each one of these classes, we will be creating cards that will delight and impress based on different themes. Come create with some amazing colors, images, techniques and folds designed for both the new and experienced stamper. Be sure to bring your own sharp scissors and double-sided adhesive to each class. Course fee includes $12 materials fee.
All rubber stamping classes are taught by Sharyn Bouck, independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator since 1996. Those younger than 14 must be accompanied by a class-registered adult. Contact Sharyn Bouck at sharynbouck@hotmail.com with any questions.
Each week will be creating three different cards. Day and evening classes will create the same cards.

Basic Watercolor
Join us to discover your own unique ways of using transparent watercolor paint, from free experimentation to more controlled approaches. Explore mixing and layering colors, while observing flowers, still life, and landscape. Learn color theory, pencil sketching, composition, drawing directly with a brush, and planning area of wash. Everyone is welcome, both first-time and long-time painters. Please bring whatever materials you may already have, or purchase the following supplies: a pan set of transparent watercolors; a pointed round watercolor brush (approximately size 6; handle will be shorter than oil painting brush); pad of 140# watercolor paper; masking tape; pencil; two water containers; and two pieces of cardboard (slightly larger than size of paper).

Create Your Own Felted Figure
In this course, you will learn step by step about the tools, materials, and techniques to create your own realistic, flexible, 3D animal figures by needle felting. We will be creating two figures in this class; first, you’ll make the armature, then sculpt the legs, body and head with wool, then add adorable finishing touches to make it your own! The techniques you learn in this class will give you the foundation to create any needle-felted animal, doll or creature from your imagination in the future. Dot Mandals
In this class, you’ll learn the basics of the meditative art form called dot mandala, inspired by mandalas found in nature, mathematics and many indigenous works of art. You’ll have the opportunity to will paint your own dot mandala on 4 x 6” picture frame using provided materials with instruction from the teacher and a take-home instruction packet for future use as well. Felting Fun!
This course will cover the basics of the beautiful art of needle felting. Needle felting is a very sculptural craft that uses wool yarn and a needle, similarly to how paint and a brush would be used, to create beautiful textural artwork. This class will teach you the basics of felting so you can take what you’ve learned with you and create more pieces on your own. All necessary supplies are included, and the class is suitable for all skill levels, from beginner to seasoned pro.

Felting Your Own Art Vessel
This class is an introduction to wet felting with a resist. Learn about the basics of wet felting, layout of wool, embellishments and more to create a beautiful, unique piece of art. Wet felting is a physical process that involves the wetting and pressing of wool fibers to create an entirely new piece of fiber. Wet felting on a resist allows for making 3D sculptural pieces, and the results are always stunning! Students will need to bring an old bath towel to this class. Students who have to withdraw must do so at least one week prior to the start of the course for a full refund.

Intermediate Sewing
In this class, you’ll learn how to make a lined tote bag with pockets, a zipper pocket inside, a zipper or snap closure, and handles. If you have not yet mastered zippers, you will love this class, and go home with something that you can truly use or give as a gift! Participants should bring a sewing machine, extension cord, manual, thread that compliments your fabric choices, scissors, seam ripper, straight pins or clips, two fabric choices for the outside of the bag, fabric for lining, and two zippers (one nine-inch zipper for the inside pocket, and one 18-inch zipper for the top of the bag). Fabric choices should be cottons, cotton canvas, or duck canvas, in solids and/or prints. You will need one yard each of your outside fabrics (two yards total) and one yard of lining.

Introduction to Jewelry Making
Love jewelry? How about dragonflies? Come and make some custom jewelry for yourself or as a present in this hands-on course, which introduces students to the basics of jewelry making by creating dragonfly earrings and a necklace. The class will cover a range of techniques, and no prior experience is required. There will be kits in various colors and extra colored beads available to create your own color palette, and earring back choices include sterling silver hooks, posts, and lever backs. The instructor will demonstrate the techniques step by step, then lead the class through. All materials and necessary tools are provided. Join the experienced educators from Art in Mind Creative Wellness studio in painting on a glass wine bottle that will light up to beautifully glow! You will learn glass painting techniques as we walk you through painting daisies on a green wine bottle. The class will include a battery powered cork with a light string attached to insert into the bottle, embellishments for the bottle, and an extra set of batteries to take with you.
