Honors Programs

Honors programs are a unique opportunity to start the path toward a respected bachelor's degree at a fraction of the cost of a four-year college.

Students in these programs benefit from small classes, accessible faculty, interesting courses, an enriching environment and strong transfer options.

HonorScholar students not only meet the academic admission criteria, they also are intellectually curious, serious about their academic goals and are willing to challenge their views, discuss their ideas and accept various cultures and perspectives.

All students accepted into an honors program will receive a scholarship up to 75 percent of the New York State resident tuition. The scholarship, provided by the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation, will continue for subsequent semesters if students meet individual departmental requirements for continuation.

"When you get a good group of intellectually curious, highly motivated individuals in a room talking about ideas, then you’re going to have a fantastic experience. If that’s what you want, this is a great place."
