Applied Technology Summer Camp
ENTERING GRADES 9 – 11
Is your young high schooler interested in an applied technology career?
Think about enrolling them in a new week-long camp that will expose them to a variety of in-demand applied technology careers. Campers will interact with college faculty and use the same labs where our Applied Technology students train. A complete schedule will be provided before camp begins.
Participants will learn basic technical skills:
• Taking precision measurements
• Using a multi-meter
• Using diagnostic tools, including automotive scanners, refrigerant pressure gauges, and materials analyzers
• Reading schematics (electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic)
• Assembling complex components
• Diagnosing and repairing complex systems

Babysitting Skills

Beats and Jams: Digital Music Creators
Begin your rise to the top of the charts with digital music production! Just like today’s top artists, you can design your own beats or remix a mashup of your favorite songs to become a digital composer and sound engineer. In this course, students will learn to produce digital music, record sound, make sound effects, and mix their own tracks. No prior music experience is necessary. Student- created soundtracks will be available on a password-protected website to share with friends and family.

Circus Theatricks
SIX weeks of circus!
Seano and friends return for multiple weeks of juggling, stilting, and acrobatic fun!
Beginning campers will be introduced to the arts of juggling, tumbling, acrobatics, magic, and the secrets and skills of circus clowns. Returning campers, get ready to be challenged and further your skills in the circus arts.
Our first week will be focused on younger students (ages 6-13), giving them an opportunity to try out new skills among peers at similar experience levels. All skill levels (ages 6-15) are welcome for weeks two through five. Our sixth week will be focused on expanding the performance levels of older students (ages 12-17) who show interest and abilities beyond camp fun.

Model United Nations
Become one of the 400,000 students around the world in Model United Nations! Assume the role of an ambassador and represent your country to solve current world issues. Throughout the week, students will research a world problem, develop solutions, and negotiate consensus with their peers. This program teaches teens and tweens core skills such as research, writing, public speaking, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Model UN alumni have gone on to become Supreme Court justices, world leaders, lawyers, and business professionals. No prior experience is needed. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

Public Speaking and Confidence
Campers will explore kid-friendly and historical speeches delivered by inspiring speakers from a variety of professions. They’ll learn to craft their own speeches, starting in small groups and building the confidence to share with the entire camp. Campers will practice finding, writing, and delivering speeches with personality, voice inflection, and expression. They’ll watch engaging examples from kid-friendly online resources, discussing what works well and what could be improved. A mock scenario with one-on-one coaching will help each camper refine their skills before taking the stage! Course fee includes $20 materials fee.

STEM Activities
Get ready for a week of hands-on exploration and discovery! At our STEM camp, students will unleash their creativity and curiosity as they build exciting projects like paper rollercoasters, popsicle stick catapults, and paper rockets. Scrapbooking Spectacular
Students will create their own scrapbook of photos and learn to select, group, crop and mount photos. Suggestions for arranging on pages, journaling information, and adorning pictures will be taught. Materials will include papers, stickers, punches, stencils and die-cuts. A finished book of memories to cherish will be completed by each student.

Slime Time!
In this camp, we’ll learn how to make up to 20 different kinds of slime! Students will learn how to make magnetic slime, bubbling slime, chalkboard slime and more! They will also get to bring home a slime mat, and each slime made will be packaged in a small container, keeping it all mess-free and off of carpets. It is strongly recommended that students either bring an old oversized shirt to wear or bring an apron. Course fee includes $10 materials fee.

This exciting and creative summer camp allows students to unleash their imagination and bring their theatrical visions to life.
