The Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) offers GED® (General Educational Development) testing at its Troy location and at the Capital District EOC at HVCC South in Albany for individuals seeking to obtain a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
Schedule a Test
Individuals interested and ready to take the GED® test may start by visiting https://app.ged.com/ and creating a free account. Once you have created an account, you can schedule your test at the location and the date of your choosing.
HSE Preparation
If you need assistance in preparing to take the test, the EOC offers a High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation program for income-eligible students. Classes meet every week and faculty and staff work with students to prepare for the exam, which includes five components: reading, writing, math, science and social studies.
