Aviation Maintenance Management (AOS)
The Aviation Maintenance Management A.O.S. is designed for students with an Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) certification issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The program provides certificated AMTs with the opportunity to earn an associate degree that supports career advancement, professional development and continued education toward a bachelor’s degree. Students receive credit for prior learning experience and complete additional coursework in business management, communications and supervision to prepare for leadership and management roles in the aviation maintenance field.
Graduates may pursue careers in general and commercial aircraft maintenance, avionics repair and installation, aircraft and aircraft engine manufacturing, and aviation maintenance management or leadership, as well as other advanced aviation maintenance fields. Potential employers include Homeland Security, New York state and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
