The English associate in arts degree offers a unique opportunity for those who are interested in exploring literature, creative writing, and/or media studies and journalism. Along with developing critical thinking, you will improve your understanding of writing and literature and gain skills that truly make an impact in your academic endeavors and professional career.

The English A.A. degree provides seamless transferability to SUNY four-year colleges. With SUNY transfer agreements or the UAlbany dual admission agreement, you can begin your bachelor’s degree in English or a similar major as a junior. Other transfer possibilities include SUNY Oswego, SUNY Plattsburgh, SUNY New Paltz, Siena College and Russell Sage College.

This program is offered by the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department.
