Pre-Apprenticeships
A pre-apprenticeship provides students with an opportunity to explore a specific career industry and learn the basic skills needed to pursue a registered apprenticeship program or career in that field.
Eligibility
Students must be high school graduates and authorized to work in the United States.
NOTE: Current high school seniors who are graduating within three months are also eligible.
Pre-apprenticeship Benefits
A pre-apprenticeship provides job-seeking skills and industry knowledge through coursework. Students can receive $1,000 toward the cost of a pre-apprenticeship, which often covers the total amount of the courses. Additionally, those who complete the pre-apprenticeship may be eligible to receive a digital badge.

- Aircraft Maintenance
- Automotive
- Childcare Assistant
- Community Health/Public Health
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Machine Mechanics
- Medical Field
- Teaching Assistant
