Participation is automatic; however, students may opt out each semester before the published deadline.
Fall 2026 Opt-Out Deadline: Sept. 21, 2026
Students who wish to opt out of the Viking VALUE Program must sign in to Brightspace, select Viking VALUE Textbooks, and then select the Program Options button. After confirming their choice to opt out, students will be directed to WIReD to submit a Viking VALUE fee waiver request and have the fee removed from their bill.

- May opt back into the program until the published deadline.
Once the opt-out deadline has passed, students may not change their participation status for that semester.
