English as a Second Language
This course is designed for beginning-level English language learners. Little prior knowledge of English is needed. Students will be introduced to the basic American English grammar and writing strategies needed to produce simple sentences, short paragraphs, and informal letters. Students will be introduced to reading strategies and apply them to basic or simplified English texts.
