Body Conditioning

Join us for a functional fitness class to exercise all muscle groups at a healthy pace! This is a beginner- to moderate-level conditioning class designed to strengthen your body, increase endurance and help you de-stress. The class begins with exercises to increase your flexibility by improving your range of motion, followed by a full-body workout to strengthen arms and legs, tighten core muscles and improve cardiovascular endurance. Each class ends with a relaxation sequence that will leave you feeling refreshed and refocused. Modifications are given to participants who have physical challenges that prohibit them from performing certain exercises. You will need an exercise mat, a set of 3 to 5 pound dumbbells and water bottle.  No class July 6th.

This course is taught remotely via Zoom. You will need your Hudson Valley username and password to access the course.

Exercise Away Urinary Incontinence Without Kegels

Kegel exercises are only one way to address incontinence issues. If Kegels haven’t worked for you, this class can help you learn why and what to do about it, and help you strengthen the muscles that support your bladder for lasting relief from incontinence. If you have a history of total joint replacement, injury to a leg, or surgery that required an assistive device to help you walk, you may have lost the function needed to maintain a strong, healthy pelvic floor. Learn from an expert in movement and pelvic floor function who has been helping patients and clients resolve chronic issues for decades. You’ll learn about pelvic floor anatomy, how your hips connect to your pelvic floor, and how to use a tool called the Pelvicore Pro to strengthen the right muscles and support your bladder effectively. Please note: you will need to purchase a red Pelvicore Pro from PelvicSolutions.com to perform the movements taught in this class. If you are strong and athletic, use the silver Pelvicore Pro.

This course is taught remotely via Zoom. You will need your Hudson Valley username and password to access the course.
