Courses

Body Conditioning

Join us for a functional fitness class to exercise all muscle groups at a healthy pace! This is a beginner- to moderate-level conditioning class designed to strengthen your body, increase endurance and help you de-stress. The class begins with exercises to increase your flexibility by improving your range of motion, followed by a full-body workout to strengthen arms and legs, tighten core muscles and improve cardiovascular endurance. Each class ends with a relaxation sequence that will leave you feeling refreshed and refocused. Modifications are given to participants who have physical challenges that prohibit them from performing certain exercises.  You will need an exercise mat, a set of 3 to 5 pound dumbbells and water bottle. Decrease Stress & Pain with the MELT Method

Do you struggle with constant tension in your body? Or aches and pains? Or stiffness? Is your life full of things that keep you from experiencing a relaxed and pain-free life? The MELT Method will teach you how to acquire a pain-free state and erase the negative effects of stress. You will learn the skills to perform this method in the comfort of your own home for a lifetime of pain-free living. Learn from a physical therapist who sees people eliminate pain, regain health, and return to doing the things they love to do every day. This class does require you to be able to get on and off the floor to perform the techniques. Dress in loose, comfortable clothing. Have a yoga mat and a water bottle available.

An official MELTTM Soft Foam Roller and MELTTM Hand & Foot Treatment Kit is required to participate in this class. These can be purchased at www.meltmethod.com.

HI-LO Impact Aerobics

This is a combination Hi-Lo impact class designed with both men and women in mind. Each class adheres to the exercise guidelines set forth by the American College of Sports Medicine. The one-hour class includes a complete cardiovascular workout and a stretching and strength training component that will tone muscles and burn fat. Routines are set to contemporary music by the original artists. Energize and have fun. This class is designed for all levels - everyone can be successful! This course is taught remotely via Zoom. Health Shoulders Workshop

If you have a shoulder issue or would like to prevent a shoulder issue you will benefit from this class. Your rotator cuff is not the only thing that matters. Did you know in order for your arm to move your leg rotates first to switch on the muscles that stabilize your shoulder blade for pain-free motion? This all happens in a microsecond. Any lack of mobility or stability that occurs at the ankles or hips can elicit shoulder pain and injury.

Learn basic shoulder anatomy and how the rest of your body impacts shoulder function from the author of the Amazon best-selling book, Pain Culprits!. You will understand what works and doesn’t work. Be informed about facts that are not common knowledge and what tends to go wrong. Be empowered with effective strategies from a physical therapist who helps people eliminate pain, regain health, and return to doing the things they love to do. Tabata

Tabata is a high intensity interval training workout where you perform an exercise for 20 seconds and then rest for 10 and repeat for a total of eight cycles. Tabata gives you a total-body, heart-pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and clear your mind. Modifications for all fitness levels are provided. Tabata is a great class for those of us who want to lose weight and shape and tone our entire bodies, as well as for athletes like runners and cyclists to build cardiovascular capacity and increase athletic performance. Join us for this fun, new and exciting workout. Bring a light set of hand weights. Zumba

Zumba is the hottest class to hit the fitness world! This hour-long dance-based fitness class is set to international rhythms. No experience in dance or aerobic classes is required and Zumba is open to all fitness levels. This class will help you sculpt a tight midsection without getting on the floor. Wear sneakers and light clothes. Bring a water bottle!
