Motorcycle rider courses are offered every April - October.
How to Register
- Register online by selecting "Add to Cart" on the desired course(s) and select "Cart" at the bottom of the page when you are ready to process your registration.
- The “Seats Left” information is updated every half hour and when you checkout.
- Other registration options are available.
Courses
Advanced Rider Course
A one-day course that complements your basic skills and helps with personal risk assessment. It includes a fast-paced classroom segment with several fun interactive activities to improve perception and hazard awareness. Range exercises enhance both basic operating skills and crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is emphasized. The course is beneficial for riders on any type of street motorcycle.
You will need to bring the following with you to the course:
- Proof of current insurance and registration.
- Valid motorcycle license from any sate.
Prerequisites: Valid motorcycle license. Must own a street-legal, registered and insured motorcycle or scooter

Basic Rider Course License Waiver
In the Basic RiderCourse you will learn:
- Street strategies to avoid trouble and stay safe.
- How to maneuver in tough situations.
- Swerving, avoiding collisions, special situations, lane changes, passing and avoiding hazards.
The Basic RiderCourse provides classroom and actual motorcycle/scooter operator training in a controlled, off-street environment. No experience is necessary, however, you must be able to ride a bicycle. A STRONG sense of balance is required! Student must possess a valid NYS driver’s license. Upon successful completion of the Basic RiderCourse, a NYSMSP road test waiver card will be issued. You take it to NYS DMV, apply for the motorcycle permit, if you do not have one, present waiver card and pay any fees and you will receive the “M” endorsement. You are required to complete the MSF online eCourse within 30 days of the classroom. The link will be emailed to you and there is no additional charge to take the eCourse.

Ultimate Bike Bonding
This half-day rising course (no classroom instruction) is for licensed riders looking to dial in their low speed control and confidence. Riders will use their personal motorcycle/scooter.
Instruction includes:
- Bike-Bonding Awareness
- Big box
- Zigzag
- Circle weaves
- Switchbacks
- Lollipops
- Circuit Training
- Sharing the road
Prerequisites: Rider must have valid motorcycle license and possess SOLID basic skills with recent riding experience. It is recommended that the motorcycle/scooter be appropriate for the size and strength of its rider. You must bring your own street-legal, insured and registered motorcycle or scooter. Must bring proof of same.
