Inspired by the PRODiG grant awarded to the college, the STEM Outreach Workshop Initiative (SOWI) is aimed at attracting participants from under-served minority populations that might not otherwise be able to access STEM programming.

The SOWI Workshops include program languages for games, robotics and business environments. There will also be opportunities to learn about other programs at Hudson Valley Community College to continue skill development in STEM.

STEM Elementary Summer Camp

The college’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is offering a summer STEM camp for students entering 4th and 5th grade. Our partners, CreositySpace, will be providing at-home summer camp kits. Topics will include Water Quality & Purification; Microbes; Resource Management & Sustainability; Green Architecture; Bio Energy; and Urban Design.
