Annual Pumpkin Palooza Fall Festival is Tuesday, Oct. 29

What:

During the day, Engineering Science students will compete in the annual Pumpkin Launch using catapults they have designed and built. Prizes will be awarded to the student groups that hit their target.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the community is invited to enjoy the tenth annual Pumpkin Palooza, a free pre-Halloween celebration that includes music, free refreshments, clowns, carnival games with prizes, caricatures, and other kid-friendly activities. Participants can walk through a display of pumpkins carved and/or decorated by Hudson Valley students and staff, and are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes.

All events are free and open to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the college's food pantry. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Pumpkin Palooza is sponsored by the Hudson Valley Community College Student Senate and Student Activities Office.

When:

Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019

  • The Pumpkin Launch takes place from 11 a.m. to noon.

  • Judging of the pumpkin carving/decorating competition will be at noon.

  • Family/community activities run from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Community members and families are invited to join the students, faculty and staff of Hudson Valley Community College for the annual Pumpkin Palooza fall festivities at the college.
