College Hosts Open Houses in Troy and Malta, SUNY Reconnect Webinars

Hudson Valley Community College is inviting prospective students to explore a variety of academic programs and financial aid programs this season through a series of in-person and virtual events.

The spring semester event lineup features a Saturday, April 18 Open House on the main campus in Troy, followed by an Open House and Instant Admission Day at HVCC North in Malta on Wednesday, May 6. Additionally, the college is hosting an ongoing webinar series to assist returning adult learners in applying for the SUNY Reconnect program.

Main Campus (Troy) Open House
Saturday, April 18, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Details: Attendees will learn about academic program offerings and financial aid opportunities, tour the campus, meet faculty and talk with student services and academic support staff members. Pre-registration is recommended. Pre‑register for April 18 Open House

HVCC North (Malta) Open House and Instant Admission Day
Wednesday, May 6, 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Details: Recently designated as an official branch campus, HVCC North will welcome prospective students to tour facilities, explore degree programs and offerings on site, complete an application for instant admission, meet with an academic advisor and complete placement testing. SUNY Reconnect Webinar Series
Offered online April through August
Details: In addition to in-person events, Hudson Valley is hosting a series of 12 webinars throughout the year focused on the SUNY Reconnect financial aid program. SUNY Reconnect covers full tuition and provides assistance with textbooks and supplies for students ages 25 to 55 seeking to pursue an associate degree, either full or part time, in select fields.

Each session will cover financial aid eligibility requirements, the application process and eligible academic programs. The next session is scheduled for Thursday, April 16.
