The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation hosted its annual Gala on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Franklin Plaza ballroom in Troy, where it honored Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. with the Foundation Leadership Award.

The Foundation Leadership Award is presented annually to an individual or organization that exemplifies leadership, dedication and commitment consistent with the mission of the college’s Foundation. The Foundation’s highest form of recognition, the award celebrates those who champion access to high quality education and deeply appreciate the transformative power of learning to strengthen our community.

“Hudson Valley Community College is honored to recognize Regeneron as the recipient of the 2025 Foundation Leadership Award,” said Hudson Valley Community College President Michael Brophy. “Regeneron has been a partner to the college for more than two decades, providing guidance, mentorship and career opportunities to our students, and it has also been a generous supporter of the Foundation and the college’s growth throughout that time. Our partnership is rooted in a shared vision for the future of the college, the region and our local workforce, and we look forward to continuing to work together to build that future.”

This fall, Hudson Valley announced a $500,000 gift from Regeneron to create the new Regeneron Biotechnology Lab in our Science Center. This lab will feature state-of-the-art technology, expand community workshops and program, and strengthen the region’s STEM education efforts.

A portion of that gift—20 percent—also supports the construction of our new Applied Technology Education Center, or ATEC, which the college broke ground on last month.

More than 220 attendees were present for this year’s Gala, which was sponsored by numerous regional organizations and raised more than $107,000 to support several Foundation initiatives at the college, including the construction of ATEC; the Annual Fund; the Alumni Association; and the Honors College.
