April 26, 2022

Hudson Valley Community College's Theatre Arts students present "Almost, Maine," written by John Cariani, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 5, 6 and 7. All performances are free to the public and held in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre, located in the Siek Campus Center on the Troy campus.

Cariani’s "Almost, Maine" is comprised of nine scenes that explore love and relationships in the remote, mythical town of Almost. Each scene introduces at least two main characters, who will not appear again but may be mentioned tangentially in later scenes. The critically-acclaimed show includes elements of both dramatic and magical realism. The endearing characters of "Almost, Maine" are compellingly revealed through a wide range of comedic, serious and poignant moments.

Student actors, sometime playing multiple roles, are Jonathan Neives, Chloe Wise, Isabella Smarro, Rome Brown, Alyssa Burdick, Adeana DiGiuseppe, Nazanin Mosavi, Fin Baack, Leianne Marie Polanco, Zach Mancini, Brennan Clark, Rachel Wait, Drew Sherman, Sharmin Woodall, Christopher Sparano, Del Williams and Matt Palladino.

Assistant Professor Rosanne Raneri is directing the play.
