College Promotes Michael Green to Vice President for Technology, Institutional Assessment and Planning

Hudson Valley Community College has announced that Clifton Park resident Dr. Michael Green has been promoted to the new position of vice president for technology, institutional assessment and planning. He has served as executive to the president for institutional effectiveness and strategic planning for more than seven years.

Dr. Green led the college's recent successful efforts to achieve institutional reaccreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. He also has overseen offices of planning and research, information technology and grant acquisition. Dr. Green will continue to supervise those offices as well as instructional technologies and Viking Video Technologies, the college's full-service video and communications production house.

Prior to coming to Hudson Valley in 2007, Dr. Green served the University at Albany in several roles, including assistant dean of the School of Education. He was the recipient of Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service in 1996.

Dr. Green received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from Syracuse University.
