Dara Blanchette is one of those unique people who looks forward to going to the dentist’s office, so it makes sense that when this mom of three decided to re-enter the workforce, she’d look for a job in dental hygiene.
After completing the college’s Health Sciences certificate program, which prepares those planning to enter a variety of health care fields, she was accepted into the Dental Hygiene program for Fall 2022.
“I’ve found a group of women, some of them are moms, and we’ve created a study group, and that actually has made a big difference in this past year,” she said. “All four of us are continuing on in the Dental Hygiene program.”
When doing her research on where to study, Dara said she was amazed that every hygienist in the area seemed to receive their education at Hudson Valley. “It’s obvious that program is top notch and really respected in this area.”
