The Hudson Valley Community College Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Casey Crandall as executive director of the college Foundation during its Tuesday, Jan. 27 meeting. He will begin work on March 2 and lead the college’s philanthropic initiatives, with a focus on strengthening alumni and donor engagement in support of student success and institutional priorities.

In his new role, Crandall will work closely with the Foundation’s Board of Directors and oversee all fundraising activities, including annual giving, capital campaigns, alumni relations and events and major and planned gift fundraising.

“We are pleased to welcome Casey Crandall as executive director of the Foundation,” said Frank Sarratori, chairperson of the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation Board of Directors. “His deep experience in higher education advancement and proven success in building strong donor relationships will be instrumental as we continue to expand philanthropic support for the college and its students.”

Crandall brings significant experience in higher education fundraising and strategy development to Hudson Valley’s Foundation. For the past 18 years, he held positions in the Division of University Advancement at the University at Albany where he supported the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, the School of Criminal Justice, the Massry School of Business, UAlbany Athletics and the UAlbany Fund.

“Hudson Valley is delighted to welcome Casey to our leadership team,” said Hudson Valley Community College President Michael Brophy. “His expertise will play a key role in advancing initiatives that strengthen student success, broaden alumni engagement, and create new opportunities for our students and the college as a whole.”
