Parking and Vehicle Registration

All students and employees must register their vehicles to park on campus.

Vehicle Registration

Students and employees must register their vehicle(s) in the Parking Portal.
NOTE: Access to the Parking Portal is also available through WIReD in the Student Account Records section. Simply choose “Register my Vehicle” and add your vehicle information. Vehicle registration will be made available for an upcoming semester once the prior semester has completed.

In order to complete your vehicle registration, you will need your license plate information, make, model, year and color of your vehicle. Students who are eligible to register a vehicle will be allowed to add up to three vehicles to their semester permit. Only one registered vehicle per permit assigned to a student is allowed to be parked on campus at any given time.

The college uses a license plate recognition system to ensure that only registered vehicles are parked on campus. The system scans license plates of vehicles parked on campus to determine whether or not the vehicles are permitted to be on campus. Vehicles that are not registered may be issued a warning and/or violation.

On-Campus Parking

Student parking is available at the following major locations across campus:

  • North side: B and I lots
  • West side: A lot (west of BTC)
  • East Side: E, C and G lots
  • South Side : Parking Garage
  • Southeast Side: Lots H, J and K (surrounding Williams and Cogan Halls)

Parking Regulations can be found in the [Loading College Academic, Student and Community Services link…] section of the College Catalog.

Parking Garage

The parking garage can be accessed from the west side of South Road. Students should park on all levels but only in non-gated areas; gated areas are only for faculty and staff. Stairwells are located on both sides of the garage with a bridge connecting from the third floor to Fitzgibbons Health Technologies Center. An elevator is located on the west side of the garage. Please drive and park safely.

Additional Student Parking

Once all parking lots are full, additional parking will become available across the street from the Hudson Valley Community College campus, in the rear of the 16 North Plaza (where the Panera is located), at Route 4 and South Road. Entry will be made into this area from Route 4.

For your safety, please be attentive to Public Safety staff, electronic signs, fixed signs and traffic signals that will control access to this additional area.
