Counties are required to issue and honor certificates within this time frame. After 30 days from the start of classes, most counties will no longer issue certificates, and the out-of-state charge becomes the student's responsibility.

Payment Information

For students who schedule one (1) class (up to 4 credits) on or before Wednesday, June 24, you need to submit a Certificate of Residence to the Cashier’s Office by 4pm on June 24.

For students who schedule more than one (1) class on or before Wednesday, June 24, a Certificate of Residence and payment must be satisfied by 4pm on June 24. Payment is satisfied by one of the following:

  1. Payment in full via Voyager’s “Make a Payment” Button.
  2. Sign up for the payment plan via Voyager’s “Make a Payment” Button.
  3. In-person at the Cashier’s Office, Guenther Enrollment Services Center, Room 125, with a copy of the student’s registration bill.

Students should check their Enrollment Checklist in WIReD to verify payment status. All registration activity ceases at the close of business on the day of a schedule drop and reopens the next business day.

Drops for Non-Payment

Students who have not completed payment by the deadlines noted will be dropped for non-payment. Students may seek to re-register into the dropped courses by contacting the Registrar's Office at registrar@hvcc.edu or (518) 629-4574.

Add/Drop/Final Registration Period

  • Students registering for the first time or re-registering after being dropped for non-payment during this period, must complete a Financial Responsibility Statement to confirm registration.
  • Once the add/drop/final registration period ends for each part of term, students can no longer register for classes for that part of term or enter classes late.

Refunds

The effective date of a drop/withdrawal is the date an email request or completed form is received by the Registrar's Office. This effective date is used for refund calculation. If the college is closed, students may email registrar@hvcc.edu from their HVCC email account to request a drop/withdrawal. Refunds follow published dates and deadlines and are issued by the Cashier's Office. Questions related to refunds should be addressed to the Cashier's Office at cashier@hvcc.edu or (518) 629-4504.
