Administrative Withdrawal for NYS Immunization Non-Compliance
Any student who does not have required NYS Public Health Law immunization records on file may pay the tuition bill, but a hold will be placed on the student account, preventing schedule changes. The hold is removed once immunization requirements are met. Students who do not meet NYS Public Health Law immunization requirements by the NYS mandatory deadline will be administratively withdrawn from the college and responsible for all charges incurred. For further information, contact Health Services at healthservices@hvcc.edu or (518) 629-7468. View immunization requirements.
Certificate of Residence Requirement
Certificates must be dated no sooner than 60 days prior to the date you register for classes, and no later than 30 days after the start of classes. Counties are required to issue and honor certificates within this time frame. After 30 days from the start of classes, most counties will no longer issue certificates, and the out-of-state charge becomes the student's responsibility.
Billing Dates
Bills will be mailed to the student's permanent address on file and emailed to the student's HVCC email address. Bills continue to be emailed nightly except on: 8/20, 8/29, 9/4, 9/17, 9/25, 10/2, 10/15, 10/23 and 10/28.

Payment Information
Students who schedule on or before Wednesday, June 24, must submit a Certificate of Residence and satisfy payment requirements by 4 p.m. on June 24. Payment may be satisfied in one of the following ways:
- Payment in full via Voyager’s “Make a Payment” button
- Enrollment in the payment plan via Voyager’s “Make a Payment” button
- In-person at the Cashier’s Office, Guenther Enrollment Services Center, Room 125, with a copy of the student’s registration bill
Students should check their Enrollment Checklist in WIReD to verify payment status. All registration activity ceases at the close of business on the day of a schedule drop and reopens the next business day.
Drops for Non-Payment
Students who have not completed payment by the deadlines noted will be dropped for non-payment. Students may seek to re-register into the dropped courses by contacting the Registrar's Office at registrar@hvcc.edu or (518) 629-4574.
Add/Drop/Final Registration Period
- Students registering for the first time or re-registering after being dropped for non-payment during this period must complete a Financial Responsibility Statement to confirm registration.
- Once the add/drop/final registration period ends for each part of term, students can no longer register for classes for that part of term or enter classes late.
Refunds
The effective date of a drop/withdrawal is the date an email request or completed form is received by the Registrar's Office. This effective date is used for refund calculation. If the college is closed, students may email registrar@hvcc.edu from their HVCC email account to request a drop/withdrawal. Refunds follow published dates and deadlines and are issued by the Cashier's Office. Questions related to refunds should be addressed to the Cashier's Office at cashier@hvcc.edu or (518) 629-4504.
