Workforce Development Survey Research

Hudson Valley Community College has long been a leader in workforce development. In 2026, the college conducted a study of workforce development needs across the Capital Region.

The research found that employers continue to face challenges filling key positions and expect a growing need for workforce training and upskilling in the years ahead. Employers also identified communication, critical thinking, adaptability, and accountability as essential skills that are often as difficult to find as technical expertise.

With more than 100 academic programs, flexible training options, strong employer partnerships, and state-of-the-art facilities, Hudson Valley is well-positioned to help meet the region's workforce needs.
