Hosted by Fox 23 and News 10 anchor and Hudson Valley alumnus John Gray, Commencement will be broadcast LIVE here and on Capital Region Time Warner Cable from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Cap/Gown, Ticket and Announcement Distribution
You must present the completed order form and a valid Hudson Valley ID (or photo driver's license) to receive your graduation announcements, tickets and cap and gown. These items will be distributed in the Campus Center, Room 204 (second floor) on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, May 7, 2014, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 8, 2014, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Friday, May 9, 2014, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Degree candidates requiring seating for individuals with disabilities must make the request at cap/gown and ticket distribution days. Caps and gowns will not be distributed at rehearsal.

Assemble in G-Lot behind McDonough Sports Complex

Attendance at rehearsal is mandatory!
The YEAR-END PARTY for all graduating students is held immediately following Commencement Rehearsal at the Student Pavilion.

Commencement - Saturday, May 17, 2014
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. to Family and Guests
Procession begins at 8:45 a.m.; Assemble at 7:30 a.m.
Live Coverage: 8:30 a.m. - noon
To prepare for Commencement, all graduates should report to G-Lot behind McDonough at 7:30 a.m. In the event of rain, graduates will assemble inside McDonough.
Graduates and guests also are invited to attend a reception at the Student Pavilion following Commencement.

Seating in the stadium is on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. [Campus Map and Directions]

Tickets
Each Student Receives Five Tickets
Visit www.hvcc.edu/tickets for IMPORTANT information on limited ticket access due to inclement weather.

DVD Recordings
DVD recordings of the Commencement ceremony and/or the Student Honors and Awards ceremony may be ordered at a cost of $15 each. Orders also will be taken at each ceremony. [DVD Order Form]

Diplomas
Diplomas will be mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after Commencement. Please call (518) 629-4574 if you prefer to pick up your diploma at the Registrar's Office, Guenther Enrollment Services Center, Room 136.

Photographer at Commencement
GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement. Proofs will be sent to your home and via e-mail within three to five days after graduation. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone or by mail. GradImages can be contacted at 800-261-2576 or at www.gradimages.com.
GradImages
Registering your graduate with GradImages provides them with the information they need to deliver your graduation proofs to you in a timely manner. Giving them an accurate mailing address and e-mail address will allow them to get your proofs to you on the first try. You may also provide them with e-mail addresses of up to six friends and family members to allow them to celebrate in the accomplishment.

Refreshments and Items for Sale
Refreshments are provided at no cost until 8:45 a.m. at the first baseline pavilion. Stadium concessions will sell various food and drinks after that time. Flowers and commemorative items also will be sold on site.

Flowers will be sold by Frank Gallo Florist. Prices are as follows:
Dozen roses: $30
Half dozen roses: $20
Single roses: $5
Assorted flowers bouquet: $25
