Registration Payment Information

You must pay your tuition by the due date in order to confirm your registration. If you have financial aid or other credits appearing on your account or registration bill that reduces your balance to zero (i.e. the amount due on your tuition bill is none) you must confirm your registration to secure your schedule.

• Login to WIReD.
• Select the Enrollment, Financial Aid, Student Accounts and Student Services tab.
• Select Registration and then Confirm My Registration to pay your balance by payment arrangement and/or financial aid.
  *Important: Once your registration has been confirmed for the term, you will be liable for those charges based on the Refund Policies of the college.

NOTES

• If non-resident tuition charges appear on your bill and you are a New York State resident, please submit a valid Certificate of Residence prior to confirming your registration via the Web so that the non-resident tuition charge may be removed from your account.
• Confirming your registration must be done online through your WIReD account. If you have circumstances that prevent doing this online, please contact the Cashier’s Office at (518) 629-4504 for assistance. You will be required to provide your FERPA password when contacting the Cashier's Office by phone.
  It may be difficult to get through to the Cashier’s Office by phone on tuition due dates. Please plan accordingly.

• Discover, MasterCard or VISA - Hudson Valley Community College will not accept foreign currency as payment. In the event that a payment (in USD) from an International banking institution results in a processing fee charged to Hudson Valley Community College, this fee will be billed to the student account for which the payment was received.

• Financial Aid - You can use financial aid to pay your bill if it appears as a credit on your bill or in WIReD. You cannot use financial aid as a credit until it has been finalized by the Financial Aid Office. See " Confirm Your Registration Online" section above.

• Veteran Deferrals - Eligible veteran students may receive a tuition deferral through the Registrar’s Office.

• Third Party - If your employer or some other organization will be paying your bill, you must provide supporting documentation to the Cashier’s Office along with payment of any amount the student is responsible for, by the tuition due date. In the event that a student receives a New York State TAP award that is considered a duplicative benefit by the third party sponsor and/or New York State Higher Education Services Corporation, the third party sponsorship will be reduced accordingly.
• Tuition Payment Plan - The payment plan, offered in conjunction with college partner Nelnet, requires a down payment of 25 percent of your balance plus a $50 fee. Subsequent monthly payments will be automatically withdrawn using a checking or savings account, or a VISA, MasterCard or Discover. Learn more at My College Payment Plan. • Certificate of Residence Information and Applications
  In order to qualify for resident tuition rates, you must have a valid Certificate of Residence on file with the Hudson Valley Community College Cashier's Office each year.
• Vehicle Registration
  You must register your vehicle if you will be parking on campus. Vehicle registration is completed in WIReD in the Student Account Records section. Simply choose “Register my Vehicle” and add your vehicle information. Vehicle registration will be made available for an upcoming semester once the prior semester has completed.
  You will need your license plate number, make, model, year and color of your vehicle. Students who are eligible to register a vehicle will be allowed to add up to three vehicles to their semester permit. Only one registered vehicle per permit assigned to a student is allowed to be parked on campus at any given time.
  
  The college uses a license plate recognition system to ensure that only registered vehicles are parked on campus. The system scans license plates of vehicles parked on campus to determine whether or not the vehicles are permitted to be on campus. Vehicles that are not registered may be issued a warning and/or violation.

  Complete this form so you, or a person you authorize, can obtain information about your student records via the phone.
• Intent to Not Enroll Form
  Complete this form if you have changed your mind and are not planning on attending at this time.
• Financial Aid Authorization FormComplete this form to authorize use of your financial aid award to pay non-institutional charges, i.e. parking tickets. This form is not used to confirm your registration.
