Dedication of Science Center Offices to Cecelia and Helmut Jorgensen

Science Center, Second Floor
A suite of chemistry faculty offices on the second floor of the science center will be named for the late Ceclia and Helmuth (Erik) Jorgensen, both emeriti professors of chemistry at Hudson Valley Community College, in a ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. Family members of the Jorgensens have donated $50,000 to the college's new Science Center in memory of the couple who worked at the college from the late 1960s until 1990.
Dedication of the Dr. Robert H. Hill II Dental Hygiene Clinic

This is an invite-only event.
As chairperson of the Hudson Valley Community College's inaugural Dental Gala in 2006, Dr. Robert H. Hill II personally contributed to and led the effort to raise more than $275,000 to benefit the college's Dental Hygiene department. It is for his significant philanthropic contribution and dedication to the college that we honor Dr. Hill with the naming of the Dental Clinic.
Dr. Robert H. Hill II is a graduate of the Albany Academy. He holds a bachelor's degree from Tufts University, a master's degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a D.D.S. from New York University. He completed his dental residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany and began his dental practice in Averill Park in 1975. His fellowships include: the Academy of General Dentistry; American College of Dentists; International College of Dentists; and Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Hill has been a clinical instructor at Hudson Valley Community College and a Dental Hygiene Advisory Board member for nearly 32 years. He recently concluded 24 years of service on the college's Board of Trustees, including eight years as chairperson.
Dr. Hill is married to Linda Esenlohr Hill and has three sons – Robert H. Hill III, M.D.; Geoffrey C. Hill, M.D.; and Jonathan A. Hill. He also has 5 grandchildren.
National Philanthropy Day® Celebration and Scholarship Reception

The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation holds its annual National Philanthropy Day® and Scholarship Reception celebrating donors' charitable contributions and recognizing scholarship recipients. Participants are asked bring a non-perishable food item for the college food pantry.
