Register now for spring programs offered through Hudson Valley Community College’s Office of Community and Professional Education.

Free Financial Aid Information Sessions


Thinking about going to college and don't know how you can pay for it?

Attend one of our upcoming information sessions:

• Thursday, April 22, 2010
• Wednesday, May 19, 2010

All sessions will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. in Bulmer Telecommunications Center (BTC) on the Hudson Valley Community College campus.

During the second hour of these sessions, you will have an opportunity to file your financial aid application online. Please make sure to bring tax returns and other financial information with you. Please contact the Mastrangelo Financial Aid Center at (518) 629-7150 with questions or for more information.

Pharmacy Technician Courses Upcoming


Interested in starting a career in the pharmacy field? Pharmacy technicians assist licensed pharmacists with tasks like labeling, and dispensing medications, along with maintaining patient profiles and performing other routine and clerical tasks.

Two courses will be starting soon in the college’s credit-free Pharmacy Technician program. Classes are online or held at the Albany Extension Center, 175 Central Avenue. Check out the schedule of upcoming offerings.

Motorcycle Rider Courses


*NEW for 2010* SCOOTERS!
We are proud to offer students the option to take the Basic RiderCourse on a scooter. If you want to ride, but just don't want to use a clutch, now you have an option! We have added a limited number of scooters to our fleet. You MUST reserve a scooter when you register for your BRC.

Summer Camps Available

Kids on Campus-Summer 2010Registration begins Monday, March 29

Get ready! Registration is right around the corner for the college’s summer youth program – Kids on Campus.

Camps in Athletics, Circus Theatricks, Theater Workshop, Technology Enrichment, Summer Educational Enrichment Program, and Summer Academy are held from June 28 to Aug. 20.

College’s Honors Students Set the Bar High


Liberal Arts Honors Students at the college enjoy a faculty-driven curriculum that leads to challenged assumptions and critical thinking. Small group discussions are at the heart of the Liberal Arts Honors experience and successful students in the program are ready for transfer to some of the country’s top four-year colleges and universities.

Hudson Valley Women’s Bowling Capture NJCAA National Title, Men Runner-Up


The Hudson Valley Community College women’s bowling team won the NJCAA National Championship on Saturday, March 6. The men’s team fell short of Vincennes University (IN) in the final, but beat out nine other teams for the second-place finish. The event was held at Erie Community College.

This is the second National Title that the women have won. The last was in the 1995 season. Both championships were won under hall of fame head coach, Joe Prest. More...
