Equine-Assisted Veterans Retreat: Identity After Service
Hudson Valley’s Veterans Resource and Outreach Center (VET-ROC) is sponsoring a full-day retreat at Higher Ground Farm focused on Identity After Service. This unique event is part of Operation Stable Ground, a series of equine-assisted experiences designed to support veterans’ well-being and personal growth.
The retreat offers veterans the opportunity to explore the evolution of personal identity after military service, including challenges such as imposter syndrome, through meaningful interaction with horses and fellow veterans.
This equine-assisted retreat is open to veterans of all eras and uses guided interaction with horses to help participants find inner peace, reconnect with nature and fellow veterans, and rejuvenate both body and mind. Activities include equine-assisted exercises, guided meditation, and mindfulness techniques.
The event is free for all veterans.
