Student Health 101

Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) Information

The Health Services professional staff assists students, faculty and staff, providing them with health information and medical attention. The Health Service staff believes that good health plays an important role in helping students achieve their educational goals. To that end, the office looks forward to assisting Hudson Valley's students, faculty and staff in maintaining their maximum physical, emotional, spiritual and mental health through quality health care, education and referrals.

During the academic year, registered nurses are available to assist with injuries and routine health counseling from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A college physician is available to see students in need of care during regularly scheduled hours when classes are in session. Check with Health Services for specific hours.

If you need medical attention when the Health Services Office is not open, please see your primary physician or go to your local after hours care center.

Health CenterThere is no appointment necessary. Cost of treatment in Health Services is covered by the Health Fee. Fees are, however, charged for X-rays and lab procedures performed outside the college facility.

All injuries that occur on campus should be reported to College Health Services, even if the injury appears insignificant. Student treatment records are confidential and are released only with written consent. Exceptions are made in cases where students or the community face potential danger.
