Is Gen Z Employable? The Truth About This Generation with Eric Reilly

HVCC welcomes Eric Reilly to campus as part of its Voices: A Library Lecture Series.

Eric has established himself as an expert in leadership development, culminating in his current role as the founder and owner of the Noble Leadership Initiative (NLI), which he launched in 2025. He is committed to inspiring and equipping the next generation of leaders, and he will address a topic that resonates with the entire HVCC community: the connection between what companies seek and what Gen Z brings to the table.

This discussion has raised questions about Gen Z’s employability. Eric’s talk will examine the perceived value gaps between employers and Gen Z, dispel misconceptions, and empower this generation of HVCC students to recognize and communicate their unique strengths—equipping them to become ideal candidates in today’s workforce.

Eric brings three decades of executive leadership experience with one of the world’s largest privately held corporations. Throughout his career in the health care industry, he has excelled at guiding teams of business professionals and has been recognized for his dedication to mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders. With his distinctive and effective leadership approach, Eric has helped hundreds achieve career milestones they once thought unattainable.

Now, as the founder and owner of the Noble Leadership Initiative, Eric is dedicated to helping individuals unlock and realize their leadership potential. His approach—and the power of the five pillars of great leadership—is captured in his recently published book, Noble Leadership: Wielding the Sword and the Shield.

This free, public event will also be livestreamed for those not able to attend in-person.
