This culminating workshop looks at the road behind. We explore popular theories of the past and trace their trajectory into the present. As we finish up our leadership series—having explored a wide range of speculative and theoretical approaches—the last lecture is a return to simpler times in the hope that we may preserve good knowledge from them.
Trait and Style Theory have dominated leadership approaches since the earliest civilizations, and their shadows are still cast upon today. Transactional relationships in professional settings are ingrained in us both culturally and individually. Is there any way to move beyond them? Or, more importantly, should we?
