NYS of Health Essential Plan Information Table
Health Services at the Wellness Center is proud to welcome a representative from the NY State of Health Essential Plan back for another semester.
Many New Yorkers think they can’t get health insurance because it costs too much, but the Essential Plan offers comprehensive benefits with no monthly premium and very low cost-sharing, if you qualify.
There is no deductible, so the plan starts paying for your health care right away. Coverage includes dental and vision, inpatient and outpatient hospital care, prescription drugs, and more. It also covers free preventive care, such as routine exams and screenings.
You can enroll in the Essential Plan any time through NY State of Health.
