The Responsive Classroom

Presenter: Lynn Schuster, Director of Academics, The Robert C. Parker School

The Responsive Classroom is a research-based approach to teaching and learning for kindergarten through eighth grade that focuses on the strong link between academic success and social emotional skills. Join us for a discussion with Lynn Schuster, director of academics at the Robert C. Parker School, for an overview of this model and how it is implemented both school-wide and in individual classrooms.

This event is part of a series of workshops and lectures to mark the annual Week of the Young Child, April 7-11. The events are free and open to the public.

Teachers, students, parents or those who are interested in the field of education are encouraged to attend these events that celebrate teaching and learning. The Week of the Young Child events at Hudson Valley are sponsored by the Education Club and the Department of Education and Social Science.
