Coming to Campus: COVID-19 Plans and Protocols
As the Capital Region continues to progress through the phased reopening process outlined by New York State, Hudson Valley Community College has resumed some on-campus staffing and instruction.
In order to protect the health and safety of our community upon returning to campus, the college has developed a COVID-19 Re-Occupancy Safety Plan and supporting protocols.
Our safety plans and procedures were created in compliance with NYFORWARD guidance for reopening industries and specifically designed to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission amongst the college community. They incorporate applicable requirements from Reopening New York “Office-Based Work Guidelines for Employers and Employees” and “Interim Guidance for Higher Education,” OSHA requirements and SUNY guidance. Additionally, specific policies and procedures have been implemented for departments with a higher risk level, specific industry requirements or more complex operations.
