Transfer College Visits to Campus

Information Tables

During the fall and spring terms, four-year college representatives visit our campus to meet with students who are interested in transferring to their institutions. Students may stop by the information table anytime during the scheduled visit to pick up catalogs, applications, or other materials offered. It also is an opportunity to ask specific questions about the college or university. Click here for some sample questions you may want to ask the transfer college representative.

Upcoming scheduled visits are posted in the Center for Counseling and Transfer as well as announced to all faculty, staff, and students. Check the calendar often as it is constantly being updated.

All transfer college visits will be held outside of the Center for Counseling and Transfer, located on the second floor of the Siek Campus Center.

Advisor in Residence Program

The Advisor in Residence program is similar to the transfer college visits. It offers students another opportunity to meet with four-year college representatives to learn more about their institutions. However, this program is for students who are more decisive about transferring to a particular college or university. Students will be able to meet individually with the transfer college representative, by appointment only.

Scheduled appointments are generally 15-30 minutes, and students receive specific advisement about admission criteria, general education requirements, course recommendations and transfer of credit. Students are advised to bring an unofficial copy of their Hudson Valley Community College transcript so that the four-year college representative can provide a transfer evaluation of courses taken. Students can now access and print a copy of their transcript from Hudson Valley WIReD.

All transfer college visits will be held outside of the Center for Counseling and Transfer, located on the second floor of the Siek Campus Center.

Appointments are required. For more information, or to schedule an appointment with a transfer college representative, contact the Center for Counseling and Transfer at (518) 629-7320.
