World Affairs Councils of America Engage America: The role of diplomacy in rebuilding security in Europe

A free public forum will feature Zach Paikin, Deputy Director of the Better Order Project at the Quincy Institute, who will present “The Role of Diplomacy in Rebuilding Security in Europe.” Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer session. Light refreshments will be provided.

Presentation Description: The collapse of the post-Cold War European security order resulted from Russia and the West talking past each other for years. After three years of full-scale war, tentative steps are now being taken to restore a degree of order and avoid a dangerous spiral of escalation. Given that the institutions of the post-Cold War European security order failed to prevent the outbreak of war, new institutions and novel approaches are needed to manage Russia-West relations in this new era.

Registration is requested for this FREE event to ensure we have enough light refreshments.
