Scott Hopkins Trio
The Scott Hopkins Trio features masterful musicians Scott Hopkins on acoustic and electric banjo, Lou Smaldone on upright bass and Brian Melick on drums. The group’s repertoire encompasses originals, jazz standards, roots music, Americana and contemporary tunes that are richly imbued with Hopkins’ strong bluegrass and folk influences. Melick supplies the strong Latin grooves that combine with Smaldone’s rock-solid bass playing to create a distinctive ensemble sound.
