This certificate is an intensive, one-year training program that prepares you to obtain an entry-level position in the field of computer aided drafting and design.

During the fall and spring semesters, you will be enrolled in 12 courses, gaining in-depth knowledge of the leading CAD software packages. The department partners with more than 450 companies within the Capital Region that use CAD and provide internship and/or employment opportunities to students and graduates. During the spring semester, you will actively participate in selecting an internship site for your six-week summer practicum.

This academic program is primarily designed for those who wish to enter the workforce immediately following graduation.
