Computer Learning Center (CLC)

The CLC provides academic support that assists students in becoming independent and confident learners while developing the computer skills necessary for academic success.

In-Person and Remote Support Available

In-Person and Remote Assistance
During the fall and spring semesters, in-person support is available in the lower level of the Marvin Library Learning Commons as follows:

Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

During summer sessions, the hours are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday - Sunday: CLOSED

NOTE: Additional support for CISS 100, CISS 110 and CISS 111 is available in the fall and spring semesters as outlined on the schedules and by request: CISS Tutoring Schedule

Current students who would like to connect to remote tutoring, should complete the Request for Remote Tutoring form and we will send you an invitation to a Zoom tutoring session or schedule you an appointment.

Academic Support

The CLC offers the following support for all students:

  • Computer related instructional workshops
  • Academic support in the completion of computer-related assignments and projects
  • Computer skills development
  • Navigation skills for use in online and Web-enhanced courses

Technical Help Desk Services

CLC staff can provide the following services for students:

  • Answer personal computer and mobile device questions and issues related to coursework and academic support
  • Set-up of wireless configuration
  • Assist with computer accounts, including password resets
  • Connection to student email and files (both on- and off-campus)
  • Network printing assistance
  • Answers and advice to technical questions

Online evening tutoring is a free service available to all registered students through STAR-NY.
