The Office of Community and Professional Education has been busy planning a great summer of camps for your children.

Registration for all summer camps begins Thursday, March 31, 2005.

Two new camps will be offered this summer, Junior Counselor Preparation Program and Summer Youth Theater Workshop.

Summer Educational Enrichment Program
Entering grades 2 - 7, June 27 - August 19, 2005
Entering grade 1, June 27 - August 12, 2005
The Summer Educational Enrichment Program (SEEP) provides children who have completed grades K through 6 with an educational and cultural summer experience. For further information please click here.

Summer Youth Theater Workshop
For ages 10-13
August 1 - 12, 2005
Do you love to act, sing, dance, or tell jokes? Do you see yourself behind the scenes, as a director or stage manager, set or props designer? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Summer Youth Theater Workshop is for you! No experience is required, just enthusiasm and a desire to jump in and put on a show! Junior Counselor Preparation Program
Entering Grades 8 and 9
Session 1 June 27 - July 8, 2005
Session 2 July 11 - 22, 2005
Session 3 July 25 - August 5, 2005
Session 4 August 8 - 19, 2005
This is a two-week program for individuals interested in preparing themselves for future employment in a camp setting or as a babysitter. The first week of the program will include training sessions in teamwork, child management techniques, first aid, CPR, elementary and secondary games, children's literature and activities, as well as a workshop on resume writing. During the second week you will shadow an experienced counselor in our Summer Educational Enrichment Program. For further information please click here.

Summer Athletic Camps
For Ages 6 - 18
The Summer Athletic Camps are designed to provide an opportunity for boys and girls to acquire knowledge, develop interest, learn techniques and improve skills in a variety of sports. Individual camps include adventure, basketball, dance, softball, soccer, golf and tennis. For program information

Technology Enrichment Program
Entering Grades 5-8
The program is designed to expose students to technology concepts to prepare them for continued study in this area.  This program provides for improvement of basic skills in computer literacy, analytical concepts and general study habits.
