With Hudson Valley Community College’s School Vacation Programs, the February school holiday can be an opportunity for your child to discover a new interest and stay active.
The college will offer two week-long programs for children ages 7 to 14 during the school break, which runs February 16-20.
“All Sports Camp,” for boys and girls 8 to 14 years old, will provide a variety of age-appropriate athletic activities in the college’s McDonough Sports Complex over the camp’s five days. Activities include ice skating, adventure course, track and field, soccer, basketball, aerobic boxing and Wiffle ball, among others. This is a great way for kids to stay active indoors during the cold February break.
The college’s “Youth Theater Workshop,” for ages 7 to 14, takes participants through the entire process of producing a musical theater piece, from creating characters and writing the songs to performing the final production. Whether your child is interested in working on stage or behind the scenes, there’s a place for them at the Youth Theater Workshop.
Both All Sports Camp and Youth Theater Workshop will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The cost of each program is $215 for the week.
