Anthony Nuvallie Named Department Chair At Hudson Valley Community College \"Photo

Anthony Nuvallie
Anthony Nuvallie of North Adams, Mass. has been named chairman of the Accounting and Marketing departments in Hudson Valley Community College’s School of Business.

Nuvallie has been an adjunct professor at Hudson Valley for the last four years. He previously taught business and economics courses at South Vermont College in Bennington, Vt. for 21 years.

Nuvallie has extensive experience in the insurance industry, and also previously served as director for the Northern Berkshire Corporate Regional Industrial Laboratory, working to encourage economic development and helping displaced workers.

Nuvallie has a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in education and administration/management from Cambridge College. He also has diplomas from the Lee Institute of Real Estate and the Life Underwriter Training Council.

Nuvallie and his wife, Tanya, have four children: Anthony Jr., Gianina, Haylee and Olivia. Anthony and Tanya are both involved in fund raising for the American Cancer Association’s Relay for Life.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has more than 60,000 alumni.
