Delmar Resident Cindy D’Agostino Honored by Hudson Valley Community College \"Photo

Cindy D’Agostino
Cindy D’Agostino of Delmar, a 2006 graduate of the Hudson Valley Community College Computer Information Systems program, was recently honored by the college.

D’Agostino received the Eastman Kodak Award for Business. A President’s List and Dean’s List student, D’Agostino also was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international academic honor society for students at two-year colleges.

D’Agostino is a Eucharistic minister, lector and catechist at St. Thomas Church in Delmar. She also is involved in Girl Scouts of the USA and Bethlehem Tomboys softball.

She plans to continue her education and seek employment in the Computer Information Systems field.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has more than 60,000 alumni.
