Center for Creative Retirement at Hudson Valley Community College Slates Spring Seminars, Trips

Hudson Valley Community College will offer an expanded slate of courses and trips through its Center for Creative Retirement this spring.

The center, which is sponsored by the college\'s Office of Community and Professional Education, offers low-cost educational trips and seminars for senior citizens during the daytime hours. The classes may be one session or several sessions and are held on the Hudson Valley Community College campus and at sites around the region.

This year\'s new offerings include: \"Root for the Home Team: Baseball in Rensselaer County,\" a look at Rensselaer County\'s rich baseball history; \"Waterfalls in the Spring,\" a series of hikes to Rensselaer County waterfalls, \"Spring Sensations - Exploring Nearby Nature Preserves\" and \"Let\'s Cook Italian!\"

The center will again sponsor trips to the Clark Art Institute, the Culinary Institute of America and a group tour on the Albany Aqua Ducks amphibious vehicle, which tours the city of Albany from land and the Hudson River.
