Clifton Park Resident Nicole Cross Honored at Hudson Valley Community College \"Photo

Nicole Cross

Nicole Cross of Clifton Park, a 2004 honor graduate of the Hudson Valley Community College Nursing program, recently was honored by the college.

Cross recently received two year-end honors given to outstanding students in the college's Nursing program: the Nursing Faculty Award for Clinical Excellence and the Northeastern New York Organization of Nurse Executives Leadership Award.

She was a member of the President's List and Dean's List while at the college. She also was included in Who's Who Among Students in America's Junior Colleges.

She will begin her nursing career at Glens Falls Hospital and she eventually hopes to complete her master's degree in nursing.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. The college has nearly 60,000 alumni.
