Dale Carnegie's "Business Essentials" course will be offered through Hudson Valley Community College's Workforce Development Institute beginning Tuesday, January 13.
"Business Essentials" teaches trainees to deal effectively with a number of common problems, such as conflict resolution and stress. It also will focus on creating career opportunities for professionals, especially how to be a great communicator and job coach. The course will be offered 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Bulmer Telecommunications Center on the college campus.
The "Business Essentials" presenter will be Timothy D. Clark, the president of Dale Carnegie Training of Northeast New York. A former high school math teacher, Clark has been a certified Dale Carnegie trainer and small business owner for nearly 25 years.
"This isn't theory or lecture," Clark said. "It's practical skill development that can create breakthroughs in your professional and personal life."
The cost of the five-session training is $399, including materials. For more information or to register, call the Workforce Development Institute at 629-4830 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
