Kim and Reggie Harris Performance to Highlight Hudson Valley's Celebration of Hope

Kim and Reggie Harris, whose warm and passionate acoustic harmonies have captivated audiences for 20 years, will perform at Hudson Valley Community College's Celebration of Hope, Thursday, October 2, at 7 p.m.
The Celebration of Hope, which also will incorporate honors to several members of the community, will be held in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre. Marianne Potter, Vice President for Television at WMHT, will be the host for the evening.
Sponsored by the college's Peace and Non-Violence Committee, the Celebration of Hope also will honor nine members of the local community who have embodied the ideals of peaceful positive action. The committee is coordinated by the Campus Ministry Office.
Kim and Reggie's music has been described as an eclectic blend of well-crafted originals, spirituals, freedom songs and unique covers. Their own writing covers a wide range of styles and topics - love and human relationships, global issues, humorous moments, history and heritage. Tickets are $6 per person. Those bringing canned foods will receive a discount on their ticket price equal to $2 per food item. Hudson Valley Community College students will be admitted free with valid student identification. For more information about the event, call 629-HOPE.
