Stephen E Keeler Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Stephen E Keeler of Claverack, a 2003 graduate of the Hudson Valley Community College Electrical Construction and Maintenance program, recently was honored by the college.

Keeler, a dean's list student during his time at the college, was the recipient of the Electrical Construction and Maintenance Club Award for Academic Excellence. He also is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. Keeler is a volunteer firefighter and treasurer for the AB Shaw Fire Company. He also is a WRGB Channel 6 Weathernet Weatherwatcher and a Skywarn Spotter for the National Weather Service.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
