Hudson Valley Community College and The Sage Colleges recently signed a transfer agreement that will allow qualified students to transfer directly from the community college's Business Administration associate's degree program into the baccalaureate Legal Studies program at Sage College of Albany.
Legal Studies program prepares students for paralegal employment opportunities in law, finance, business and industry, human services and related fields. The program also provides a strong educational base for advanced degrees in law, government, business, library science, or other fields.
"We've seen a strong interest among our students in continuing with this type of program," said President John Buono. "After graduating with the appropriate credits, our students can transfer directly to Sage as juniors in the Legal Studies program."
Sage is the only institution in the Capital District offering a bachelor\'s degree in Legal Studies.
The two institutions have a history of collaboration. Last spring, the colleges announced a joint venture that will allow students to complete a bachelor's degree in Physical Education utilizing instructors and facilities at both schools.
